Siana, Mainit, Surigao del Norte

Here's a glimpse of Barangay Siana, the former site of the once glorious Gold Mine called Surigao Consolidated, Inc (SURICON).

I am so glad that this river, Siana River, which flows directly to Mainit Lake, looks very clean now. When we used to swim here 20 years ago, it was not as clean. It was believed that some mine wastes were thrown into this river.
