Debate among candidates
I am keen on pushing for a live debate among the candidates in the upcoming Local Elections in Mainit. Well, at least between the mayoralty and the vice mayoralty candidates.
We can invite distinguised panelists from the province or region. Or one of us here could moderate the debates.
What do you think? When is the filing of certificate of candidacy? As soon as we know who are the runners... we can already initiate the live debate e.g. December 2009?
PS: I have heads-up on who plans to run for mayor. But I won't make a post about it until I hear from all sides.

Earth Hour Tonight
Wherever you live on the planet, please join me and the rest of the world at 8:30PM local time, Saturday, 28 March 2009, on Earth Hour. TURN OFF YOUR LIGHTS FOR ONE HOUR.
Earth Hour is the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming. For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming.

I wonder
Those of us who have very close connections to the officials of Mainit have not heard much about their individual accomplishments... I just wonder how the populace of Poktoy, Dijo, Gasipan, Ambassador and other sitios of Mainit would ever hear updates from our beloved elected leaders.

Summer Sports
Uno kahay plano kuman summer sa Mainit?
I remember in the 80s, we had summer basketball tournaments and summer little leagues (baseball).
I was proposing an Invitational Badminton Cup but I got comments that it won't be worth it this year.

Pidjanga at Rank 8
We used to be at the top 200 blogs of the Pinoy Top Blogs (once ranked at 158th out of the thousands of Filipino blogs, check here). Somewhere along the way, the tracking got lost. And suddenly, Yuga (www.yugatech.com) resurrected it. Our old username were still active hence I was able to get a widget.
I was surprised that we are now on 8th rank! (And I don;t understand how this works).

Here's an excerpt from the ressurected Pinoy Top Blogs:

TopBlogs.com.ph (formerly PinoyTopBlogs) was created to measure the popularity of filipino blogs.Post: Zimmbodilion (www.pidjanga.blogspot.com)
We are the largest tracking site for filipino blogs, covering a large latitude of blogs and readers.
We track the number of unique visitors and pageviews each blog gets. Every week we reset this number to zero, and we rank blogs according to the number of unique visitors they get in the week.
Our topsites have tracked over 250,000,000 unique visitors, and we have developed some advanced anti-cheating methods to keep the riff-raff out.

Pidjanga at Chao Phraya River
Teng and I are now on our 6th day here in Bangkok for our 8th wedding anniversary (3 March) vacation.
We passed by Bangrak area (beside Chao Phraya) and saw fried fish in the sidewalk. I really think it was Pidjanga! Unfortunately, we ran out of battery so I failed to take a snap of our mighty Pidjanga!
Will try to return to that place and bring proof of the "river goby".
But anyway, here's a snapshot of the "real" Pidjanga alive at the Chao Phraya... your Pidjanga Blogger (Millennium Hilton, Klong San port).

Kami... sa amo payag!
