buyanon adton petsa trese
didto ako tag-abtan nan duyom sa dayan
nan magpayang
gikan ako sa siyudad
nuuli ako sa ato lungsod
kay may panihapon sa amo bayay
kay birthday nan ako tatay...
buyanon adton petsa trese
naghuyat ako nan kasakyan
didto sa magpayang
nakasakay ako sa motor (honda? )
arang ka buyanon!!!!
laong ko sa nagdrive
hinay hinay ra kay
buyanon...
(uman dajon...)
kahinumdom kamo kun
mauno an buyanon
sa ato
lungsod?
an langit
puno nan bitoon,
way panganod na
makita,
an danaw makinlaw
didto sa lawod,
an mga basakan
matignaw,
mahagkot an hangin,
makapanuhot!
an bukid nan
maniayaw
jaon sa dugyom,
amo ra higante
sa agong-ongan?
naglinya pa an "series"
salin nan pasko
kun adlaw, puno jaon na dayan
nan binuyad na humay..
na kay
buyanon man adto na duyom
an mga bitoon an binuyad sa langit...
pero sa silop
dili bitoon an nagkitap kitap
mga suga nan towers
amora aninipot...
muuli nasab ako sa sunod
na buyanon...
ali, uli ta tanan...

i never wanted
the trip to end...
i wished the ride
to go beyond...
if only to relish the sight
of my moonlit town...

Pidjanga
(Glossogobius giuris) is a freshwater fish native to Mainit Lake. It is called “biya” in Tagalog and “white goby or tank goby” in English. The term “pidjanga” is also sometimes fondly used to refer to the Mainitnons, the people of the Municipality of Mainit, a town in Southern Philippines. This blog hopes to capture potentials of Migrants Pidjangas for the Development of our Town by attempting to document development issues, folk stories, and current concerns, about the Pidjanga — both the fish and the people.
