Pidjanga

(Glossogobius giuris) is a freshwater fish native to Mainit Lake. It is called “biya” in Tagalog and “white goby or tank goby” in English. The term “pidjanga” is also sometimes fondly used to refer to the Mainitnons, the people of the Municipality of Mainit, a town in Southern Philippines. This blog hopes to capture potentials of Migrants Pidjangas for the Development of our Town by attempting to document development issues, folk stories, and current concerns, about the Pidjanga — both the fish and the people.

Pidjanga notes: Thanks to Councilor Nonong Behagan. Loy, salamat karadjaw sa imo paghatag nan panahon para kami makabasa nan kalihokan nan lungsod! I would have preferred to have a copy in text (MS Word) and dissect each and every report to give my honest opinion of whether it is indeed an achievement or not, and if indeed these are accomplishments, (cut and paste) highlight them in the blog.

But anyway, with my initial browsing, the LGU is worthy of congratulations for a number of significant achievements among which, the 100% coverage subsidy for tuition of elementary and high school in the municipality, the significant coverage of health services e.g. on TB, child health, and insurance, the new ambulance, the implementation of the foreign-assisted projects, the initiation of tourism projects, and the creation of task-forces to safeguard the environment.

This is a good baseline. We hope to see progress and big difference by the same time next year, which according to one official, may already by an "election fever" period (hence, any project during that time may not prosper - which I beg to disagree).

And YOU, yes you - Pidjanga, out there... what can you do for your municipality?

My name is Mary Wells and i would like to show you my personal experience with Soma.

I am 45 years old. Have been on Soma for 1 year now. It seems to have lost its effectiveness to relax the neck spasms somewhat. I get more relief from vicodin.

I have experienced some of these side effects-
I took it for two nights in a row and got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I fell off the toilet because the soma made me so out of it! I take it occasionally now at bedtime so I can sleep pain-free, and find it very difficult to wake up the next day.

I hope this information will be useful to others,
Mary Wells
